Currently it is possible to insert data frames into Watson Notebooks that allow a user to insert data from a table as a dataframe.
There are cases in which the user may want to send a dataframe to a database as a new table, appending, or updating the database table.
I have a working example of this using Spark and a Db2 Cloud Warehouse database. It would be great if it worked for all database connections in which write access were possible.
Example in this watson studio notebook, cell 39: https://dataplatform.ibm.com/analytics/notebooks/v2/85ef399a-b1d2-494c-a8b0-cae5bddf117b/view?access_token=6c2219e870552a8f22473ddb2e739e3be7ffe8fd587d037811d3cd70d7dbf61f
Why is it useful?
|Who would benefit from this IDEA?||As a data scientist I'd like to upload data frames as tables in a connected database from Watson Studio.|
