Brunel viz used to work on Scala notebooks on DSX. It appears that cell magics from Apache Toree (and thus Brunel viz) is no longer supported. Currently there seem to be no means for viz from a scala notebook.
The other option was to use pixiedust from a python notebook and use %%scala to invoke scala code. But this does not work either.
Essentially this leaves us with no easy option for viz for scala. The support for scala enables us to bring in vast volumes of prior work written in the form of Java libraries. We are currently working on setting up time series anomaly detection notebooks for client analyzing large volumes of DNS traffic.
Ask: Can support for brunel be re-enabled on DSX?
